New decorations around Worcester to show off city's colour palette

Decorations have been going up around Worcester this week to show off six colours linked to the city.
The Worcester Colour Palette was installed earlier this year at Worcester Foregate Street train station, with Elgar bronze and Cathedral stone two of the colours involved with the design.
Sam McCarthy is the chief executive of Worcester Bid who have been putting up the displays, and says it helps show off the area's heritage to visitors and people.
"As you come down from the platforms, you are greeted with this artwork in the main area, and we felt that it would be great if we could connect the city to this piece, and to be able to develop and enhance the wayfinding," she said.
"We've got actual paint cards of the colour palette up at the moment hanging as buntings, and there will be more information boards going around the city centre as well to explain to the public about the colour palette and how it was developed.
"What we're doing is combining it with modern street art as well, so we've got these heritage colours, but what we're also looking at areas where there's high graffiti and putting in street art along with the colour palette designs."
A recent colour palette project has also been revealed in Redditch.
