Midlands Rail Hub would 'improve' transport links says Bromsgrove MP
Conservative Bradley Thomas believes it would make a real difference to commuters in his constituency
Bromsgrove's Conservative MP says ways of increasing transport links across the area, such as the Midlands Rail Hub, are key priorities to improving connectivity for people.
Plans to create the rail hub were moved into the delivery phase earlier this year, with the first stage aiming to be complete by the early 2030s.
The move would see the number of trains that can run to Bromsgrove rise to three per hour, giving commuters into Birmingham or to Worcester and Hereford more frequent trains.
Conservative Bradley Thomas believes it would be a real help to people in his constituency, and is a vital development.
“It’s clear the Midlands Rail Hub will bring benefits to rail users across Bromsgrove," he said.
"Strong transport links to Birmingham are important not just to Bromsgrove's economic growth, but also to Birmingham's.
"Some people in my constituency travel to Birmingham for work, so by delivering faster and more regular trains, this will improve the service they receive."
Barnt Green and Alvechurch would also be set to benefit from the proposals, with an additional Cross City service to and from Redditch.
