Aggressive Hereford shoplifter banned from McDonald's and Burger King
Police say Ashley White has had many opportunities to change his ways but failed to co-operate.
An "aggressive" Hereford man has been banned from McDonald's, Burger King and Asda after being convicted of a string of shop thefts and threatening behaviour.
West Mercia Police said Ashley White, 32, has been handed a three-year criminal behaviour order banning him from Eign Gate, Commercial Street and several shop.
They include Commercial Street's McDonald's, Burger King, Tesco in Bewell Street, Asda, Morrisons and the Co-op in Bobblestock.
West Mercia Police said there had been a "significant pattern of anti-social behaviour and criminal offences in or near the city centre over a number of years".
It added: "Significant effort and interventions had been tried to change the offending behaviour of White who failed to comply with all reasonable requests and directions to change his way and persistently acted in an aggressive and threatening manner towards officers and members of the public – including retail staff – when challenged about his behaviour and at times told to leave business premises."
PC Jim Mooney said White had a significant history of offending with more than 25 criminal convictions and 80 incidents of crime and disorder in recent years that had caused alarm, distress or harassment to many people.
He said people had found themselves targeted by White because they were "in the wrong place at the wrong time" while going about their daily lives.
"Many of these incidents have occurred when White was drunk," he added.
Any breaches of the criminal behaviour order can be reported to police on 101.
