Man dies in Worcestershire collision

It happened yesterday night on the A435 Hollywood Bypass.

A man has died in a road traffic collision in Worcestershire last night.

Multiple 999 calls were made to report a serious collision involving a pedestrian on the southbound carriageway of the A435 Hollywood Bypass, Hollywood at 11.59pm on Sunday.

Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma team responded to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “When ambulance staff arrived, they found police officers performing CPR on a pedestrian, a man. The team of ambulance staff quickly commenced advanced life support but sadly, despite the best efforts of everyone, nothing could be done to save the pedestrian, and he was confirmed dead on scene.”
