Police were called to Brook Retail Park in Hereford in the early hours of Thursday morning (8 June) after a man suffered a cardiac arrest and was taken to hospital where he later died.

The man has been identified by police as 63-year-old Paul Dabin, of no fixed address.

Paul's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by West Mercia Police's family liaison officers.

The death was initially treated as suspicious while officers continued their work to establish the circumstances around Paul’s death.

Two men had been arrested on suspicion of murder - but a post-mortem examination on Friday (9 June) established that Paul died of natural causes, with no evidence of assault.

The death is not now being treated as suspicious and is now being dealt with by the coroner.

Detective Chief Inspector Leighton Harding said: “My thoughts are very much with Paul’s family at this sad time.

“I would like to also thank the public and local businesses for their patience and understanding whilst we conducted our investigation.”
