Man charged with Redditch murder
A 44-year-old woman was found dead in Redditch on Monday morning
A man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Redditch on Monday (11 November).
Officers attended an address in Other Road at around 9.30am, where a 44-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Chris Hemming, 46, of Other Road in Redditch, has been charged with murder.
Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Lougher said: “Officers and paramedics were promptly on scene; however, it became clear the woman’s injuries were not survivable and she sadly died at the scene.
“I would like to reassure the local community we believe there to be no wider risk to the public. A cordon is currently in place and the public can expect to see officers there throughout the day while enquiries are being carried out.”
Hemming has been remanded and is due to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court today (Wednesday 13 November).
