Man arrested in fatal collision that left boy dead in Worcestershire

A man has been arrested in connection with a crash that left three people dead, including a six-year-old boy.

A grey BMW 3 Series and a white Ford Mondeo were involved in the collision on the A44 in Spetchley, Worcestershire, at around 3pm on February 22, West Mercia Police said.

The driver of the Mondeo, a woman aged 26, and the passenger, a woman aged 39 were pronounced dead at the scene, while a six-year-old boy, who was also in the Mondeo, was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital but died shortly after arrival.

The force said a 33-year-old man was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing death whilst uninsured, causing serious injury by dangerous driving and aggravated vehicle taking.
