Machete handed in as part of weapons amnesty
The blade was surrendered to Ledbury Police Station
A machete has been haded in to a West Mercia Police station as part of a crackdown on knife crime.
A weapons amnesty is making up part of Operation Sceptrewhich sees people in possession of knives and swords give them to police voluntarily.
This blade and its sheath were surrendered at Ledbury Police Station earlier this week.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Removing weapons from our streets is a vital step in reducing violence and keeping our community safe.
"Every knife surrendered is one less that can cause harm.
"If you have a knife or bladed article you no longer want, you can safely dispose of it by handing it in this week at Ledbury Police Station from 9am to 5pm."
