Man from Herefordshire one of two charged with manslaughter following baby death

A man and a woman are due in court charged with manslaughter following the death of a baby in Newent, Gloucestershire.
It happened nearly four years ago.
30 year-old Jack Wheeler from Ledbury, and 27-year-old Melissa Wilband, from Newent, the mother of the child, are due to appear at Gloucestershire Magistrates' Court in Cheltenham on Friday.
They are charged with manslaughter and causing or allowing the death of a child.
The four-month-old from Newent was admitted to hospital on April 12 2020 and died six days later.
The pair have been released on conditional bail.
