Herefordshire and Worcestershire Fire Service say it's great they can continue to provide support to Ukraine.

The service was part of 15 across England and Wales who've donated 20 fire engines to the country along with other pieces of equipment, which set off to be delivered on Tuesday.

Area response commander Samantha Pink says it's a humbling experience for the volunteers who travel out to deliver the supplies.

"This is the fourth convoy we've been involved in, and there's a real strong sense of of unity within fire and rescue services within the UK to continue this support.

"It's a fantastic thing for us to be involved in, and I know through talking to people that have come back from the deliveries that they've had a really emotional journey and it's really impacted them.

"We just want to help and support and supply resources that are necessary for them to continued their work over there."

On some of the equipment they have provided she added: "There's all sorts that has gone over, such as fire engines, incident command vehicles and lots of rescue equipment.

"Within these deployments, there'll be a lot of equipment that's really useful for the scene, which might not be of use to us anymore, but can make a difference for people in Ukraine."

Nearly 400 fire stations have been destroyed in Ukraine since the conflict began.
