Five injured in serious collision in Herefordshire

Police launch witness appeal into crash at Mortimer's Cross

Four people are being treated in hospital for serious injuries following a collision in Herefordshire.

The A4110 was blocked for some time last night at Mortimer's Cross following the crash involving two vehicles.

A fifth person was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

In a statement issued this morning, West Mercia Police said: "The collision happened on the A4110 at Mortimers Cross in Herefordshire at around 7.15pm involving a grey Audi A1 and a Silver Land Rover Discovery.

"The four occupants of the Audi suffered serious injuries and were taken to the Queen Elizabeth and Hereford hospitals.

"The driver of the Land Rover suffered minor injuries and was treated at Hereford hospital."

Any witnesses, or anyone with any information or dash-cam footage which may help with the investigation, is being asked to contact West Mercia Police.
