Family pays tribute to murdered Droitwich woman

The family of 49-year-old Joanne Samak has paid tribute to a much-loved daughter and mother, who lost her life in Droitwich.

On Monday (1 July) officers attended an address in Chestnut Spinney at around 4.10am, after reports that a woman was injured.

Joanne was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement her family said: “Jo was a loving, sensitive and generous person. She was so hard working and talented. She was looking forward to so much in her life.

“We are so thankful for Jo and have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and tributes from all who knew her. Jo, you are so loved by all your family and friends. Words fail us. We will continue to love and miss you forever.”

42-year-old Mohammed Samak has been charged with murder and will appear at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court today (Friday 5 July).
