A business in Worcester says they've seen the Euros have a real impact on their trade during the last few weeks the tournament has been on.

The Mode sports bar, along with it's neighbouring nightclub, hosted all of England's games on their screens, from the group stages, all the way to Sunday's final against Spain.

Marketing manager Max Tilley says it's been a real benefit for them, and all major sporting events which happen throughout the year usually create the same demand.

He said: "We've taken full advantage of the space we've had available and had both seating and standing viewing options for all the games, which has brought along hundreds of people each time to watch.

"I think the football fever really hit once we got through the group stages, as we only had the sports bar open at the start, but as we've gone along and got to the final, that's created more interest, and it makes a real difference for us.

"Having 600 people in for the quarter-final, then a few hundred more in for the semi-final, it's been a big boost for us, especially when hospitality has taken a big hit with Covid and the cost of living crisis, it's ended up being a breath of fresh air."

England failed to win the final at the weekend, falling to a 2-1 defeat.
