Bishop of Worcester: "We need to hear the message of peace now more than ever"

The Bishop of Worcester has spoken about the importance of peace in his Christmas message this year.

The Rt Rev'd John Inge addressed the city from the Cathedral, where he talked about the world needing to hear the message of peace 'now more than ever'.

He addressed the issues on going in society right now, including global warming and the pandemic in what he called the 'curse' of COVID-19.

However the Bishop has conveyed a message of togetherness and unity in these tough times, and that 'God is with us all'.

He adds that: "God’s love is stronger than anything that is thrown at us, God’s love can cast out our fear."

Bishop John also spoke about the history of Worcester cathedral, referring to the landmark as a 'symbol of the peace of Christmas'.

To round off the message, the Bishop prayed that the people of the city would be given the 'strength to spread peace and goodwill among others'.

Bishop John wishes everyone in Worcester a peaceful and happy Christmas this year.
