In partnership with the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB), West Mercia Police officers are appealing for video footage following an incident where a hot air balloon deflated and fell to the ground in Ombersley, Worcestershire on Sunday 25 June.

At around 6.20am the balloon fell to the ground in a field off Holt Fleet Road, near Ombersley Court. Sadly the pilot, 25-year-old Peter Gregory, was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

Officers and the AAIB are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dash-cam or mobile phone footage of the incident to get in touch.
