Runners can look forward to a party from start to finish, from on-course music zones to post-race celebrations in the event village, both races are set to create an unbeatable atmosphere across the city.

Starting and finishing at the University of York, the Yorkshire Marathon will get underway at 9.30am, followed by the Yorkshire 10 Mile at 10.15am.

The marathon course first decorates local sights such as York Minster and the ancient city walls, before travelling north eastwards out of the city.

Participants will travel through Stockton on the Forest, Grange Wood, Upper Helmsley, Stamford Bridge, Gate Helmsley, Turkers Wood, Murton, Osbaldwick and back towards Heslington.
