A yellow weather warning has been issued for Harrogate and the Yorkshire Dales.

Predicted heavy rain may lead to some flooding and travel disruption.

It's thought bus and train services which could be affected might lead to journey times taking longer and drivers are being urged to take extra precautions.

Spray and flooding on roads could also make journey times longer.

Heavy rain is predicted from 9pm this evening (Wednesday 3 February) and should continue into the early hours of tomorrow morning.

A flood warning is also in place in Skipton. The river levels remain high due to the snowmelt and rain overnight.

Areas most at risk are low-lying land including Skipton Washlands, Snaygill Ings and Cononley Washlands due to the already saturated ground.

Moving to later in the week, some areas on higher group could be hit with snow for the second time.
