Staff and residents at a Kirk Hammerton care home are celebrating after being given their second dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

First doses were given at St John's House in January.

Lou Squires is the Managing Director at the care home. She said she "wouldn't wish this year" on anyone.

"The buzz the first time we had the jab was amazing and this just feels a step closer for us to open up.

"It's been the most exhausting year and I don't think we'd every want to wish this year on any of us again."
