Two men from Bradford have been arrested - after a large quantity of drugs and a knife were seized in Harrogate.

Police stopped a car on Victoria Road last week - and found 100 wraps of suspected class A drugs and a large zombie-style knife inside.

The two men in the vehicle, a 18 year-old and 31 year-old, were arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply, and possessing an offensive weapon. They've both been released on bail.

In a statement, North Yorkshire Police said: "Drug dealing and the county lines method – where dealers from out of town – usually urban areas, travel to smaller towns to sell drugs that they have advertised via mass text messaging – remains a priority for North Yorkshire Police.

"We urge anyone with information about drug dealing or if they believe a vulnerable neighbour is being targeted by drug dealers to contact us or Crimestoppers."
