Fire crews were called out last night (Sunday 18 April), after two teenagers became stranded in the middle of a pond at Rudding Park.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service says it's believed the boys were trespassing. They were called out at 6.12pm.

The service says they then became stuck on a wooden pontoon in a pond, at the Follifot Hotel and Spa site.

Two fire crews from Harrogate and one from Knaresborough used water rescue throw lines to pull the pontoon to shore.

Neither boy was harmed.
