Storm Otto brings disruption to North Yorkshire

Strong winds are battering parts of North Yorkshire this morning.

Storm Otto's swept in bringing warnings of disruption to travel and danger from possible flying debris.

LNER say they can't run any of their electric trains between York and Edinburgh and warn other services may be affected by speed restrictions.

They aren't expecting normal service back until around 3o'clock this afternoon.

Meanwhile Northern Power's working to get people connected after several outages.

The met office say the yellow weather warning will be in place until 2o'clock this afternoon.
