Snow causes travel disruption across North Yorkshire

There's a weather warning in place for snow and ice across North Yorkshire.

The Met Office has a yellow weather warning in place this morning.

North Yorkshire Police say the A61 between Ripon and Harrogate is badly affected - with snow and ice causing "treacherous" conditions for drivers.

Meanwhile the A169 - the main route across the North York Moors - is closed to all vehicles, and police are asking motorists to avoid the area.

The Met Office is warning there could be further disruption to travel.

Drivers are being urged to be careful on icy roads.
