Simon Weaver says "anything is possible" going into 2022
He's got high hopes for the club
The boss of Harrogate Town has high hopes for the club - saying "anything is possible" going into the new year.
He's pushing his squad to reach for those all-important play-off places, which would be a huge feat for the side who are only in their second year in the EFL.
Simon Weaver, manager, said:
"We're hungry for more. We want more excitement and more drama for Harrogate Town. We'll keep striving because it is in touching distance. If we stay strong and continually work hard and train and keep getting better; better than this will be the play-offs.
"That would just be such a thrill to take part in another play-off campaign. It would be amazing and what dreams are made of. You've got to fight for those dreams and of course it's not going to be easy but we can achieve this and we can do it with the people we have behind us.
"What has been built up over years is a solid group of players and individuals that drive us forward and we have a good culture there. It means everything to me and the board and long may that continue. We've just got to keep aspiring."
Simon Weaver's been manager at the club since 2009, making him the longest serving EFL manager in history.
And he doesn't intend to stop there.
He added:
"I just love every day going into work with amazing people. That's more important than any record. Results dictate and they'll dictate how long I stay but hopefully I'll be here for some time to come and we can keep driving on."
