Ripon's historic cabmen's shelter damaged by vandals
A window of the Grade II listed building was smashed sometime between Friday 12th and Monday 15th March
Police are investigating criminal damage to a historic building in Ripon city centre.
Sometime between Friday 12th and Monday 15th March, a window of the cabmen's shelter in the market place was smashed.
The building is Grade II listed and dates from 1911.
Historic England describe it as "a nationally rare and well preserved example of a cabmen's shelter" and "an important reminder of the importance of horse-drawn transport in the early twentieth century".
Officers are keen to narrow down the time when the damage occurred and identify those responsible.
They're asking for the public's help and urging anyone with any information to get in touch with them.
