It's good news for drivers in our County
There's good news for drivers in North Yorkshire fed up of potholes.
A new machine is being used on our roads, it's much quicker as the whole process is controlled by the driver.
Keane Duncan is in charge of roads at North Yorkshire Council and says it's a special piece of kit: "We're going to pretty extreme lengths to tackle potholes in North Yorkshire, even seeking help from down under. We've drafted in the spray injection multi patcher."
"This is a £500,000 beauty, perhaps the most sought after, most efficient, most cutting edge pothole machine in the entire world."
"There are just two of their type in the whole of the northern hemisphere and they're filling potholes right now here in North Yorkshire, we are one of the very first local authorities in the UK to use it."
"It's delivering pretty phenomenal results and given the scale of our network, given the fact that we are the largest county 5,700 miles of road to look after innovating, working smarter, being more efficient is critical to rising to the giant task facing the Council.
