Police issue update on serious Harrogate crash involved cyclist

It happened on Cold Bath Road on Friday afternoon

A woman in her 50s has been arrested in connection with a serious crash in Harrogate, involving a car and a bike.

It happened on Cold Bath Road at 1.40pm on Friday (7 October).

The rider of bike suffered serious injuries at the scene and was taken to hospital for medical treatment.

Police investigating are continuing to appeal for information from anyone who saw a white Vauxhall Viva travelling up Cold Bath Road coming from the direction of the roundabout near the Fat Badger public house, or the cyclist who was travelling in the opposite direction down Cold Bath Road.

The woman arrested has been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.

Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to the collision or anyone who has CCTV or dash cam footage that may assist the investigation to come forward.
