Police investigating 'unexplained' death of 88 year-old woman from Skipton

Police are investigation the death of an 88 year-old woman, who was found with injuries at her home near Skipton last Thursday.
The woman died in hospital in the early hours of Monday morning.
Police say it is too early to say how she sustained her injuries - and officers are treating the circumstances as unexplained.
In a statement, North Yorkshire Police said: "Enquiries are continuing into the events that led to her injuries and a post mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of her death.
"We will provide more information when we are able.
"We understand that the incident has caused some concern among the local community. Although the events that led to the lady’s death are still to be determined, it is recommended that everyone follows our crime prevention advice at all times of the year.
