Road reopens at Ouse Bridge after police incident

The road at Ouse Bridge has reopened.

Emergency services were called to York city centre due to an ongoing incident.

They were called to Ouse Bridge at lunchtime.

The Bridge is currently shut to cars in both directions.

A North Yorkshire Police statement said: “We’re currently dealing with an ongoing incident on Ouse Bridge in York city centre.

“The bridge is currently closed to pedestrians and traffic. Motorists should find an alternative route and where possible, avoid the area.”
