Schools across North Yorkshire have been talking to pupils about the Queen following her death last week.

At Richard Taylor Primary School in Harrogate pupils have been writing down their thoughts and feelings about Her Majesty as well as signing a book of condolence.

Mrs Pears is a Teaching Assistant at the school and says it's important to talk to young children about how they are feeling "It's a real strange one, it's not something anyone has ever dealt with before, I think you just have to be honest with the children about what is happening and pitch it at a level that they understand and that is not overwhelming them."
