North Yorkshire Police Officer suspended after investigation into use of force during arrest
A concern was raised over the treatment of a man who became violent whilst being detained after a crash at Tockwith in January
A North Yorkshire Police officer's been suspended from duty - after an investigation into the use of force during an arrest.
Concern was raised over the treatment of a man in his 40's who became violent whilst being detained after a crash at Tockwith in January. He was taken to custody, and subsequently released on bail while enquiries continue.
The incident was looked at by the Police watchdog.
A spokesperson from North Yorkshire Police, said:
"We want to reassure our communities that we take concerns of this nature very seriously, and will continue to work closely with the IOPC."
