Newby Hall Gardens near Ripon will once again be opening to the public on the planned opening date, a huge change from last year when, due to the COVID-19 epidemic, opening had to be postponed until June.

The award-winning gardens will open today on Thursday 1st April with the gardens, Adventure Gardens and NEW for 2021, the Enchanted Wood Trail which runs through the beautiful woodland walk. There will be a couple of magical woodland characters to meet along the way, including Titus Troll….a very friendly Yorkshire troll complete with flat cap!

Commercial Director, Stuart Gill said

“We are absolutely thrilled to be able to open on time this year. We were so disappointed to not open as usual at Easter last year; we all look forward to opening and to not have that or even a prospective opening date was a huge blow. We hope to welcome visitors back with the stunning gardens and our Enchanted Wood Trail which should keep the children entertained!”

Due to Government Guidelines, the Miniature Train can only open after the 12th April, along with the River Boat and the restaurant is takeaway only. The House, Dollshouse and Teddy Bears will all hopefully be able to reopen from May.

The Enchanted Wood runs from 1-11th April . Tickets must be booked online in advance at www.newbyhall.com
