Man in court over Skipton deaths

A man has been seen in court today after two people were found dead at a house in Skipton.

The 35-year-old man was arrested yesterday morning on suspicion of murder after an incident in Regent Crescent. A man in his 60s and a woman in her 70s were found dead at the property.

David Michael Taylor, who is believed to be known to the two, appeared at York Magistrates Court today.

He was remanded in custody and is due at Leeds Crown Court tomorrow.

Officers were called to the incident at about 7.30am yesterday morning (Tuesday 21 December).
