Man from Keighley jailed for serious sexual assault of child

The offences happened between 2000 and 2003.

A man from Keighley's been jailed for 21 years for the serious sexual assault and indecent assault of a child.

51 year-old Brian Willoughby was found guilty of five offences between 2000 and 2003 -when the victim was aged between 11 and 14-years-old.

He was also given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for life.

In 2005, the victim disclosed that she had been sexually abused as a child and then in 2014, she came forward to speak to the police and report the offences, as she felt ready to do so.

Willoughby was subsequently arrested and charged with multiple offences.

He was sentenced at Bradford Crown Court yesterday.
