Fire crews from Knaresborough have been assisting several residents this afternoon to evacuate their homes.

It’s due to high levels of flood water from the River Nidd.

There is currently a flood warning in place for the River Nidd to affect surrounding areas including Knaresborough caravan parks and Goldsborough Mill Farm.

People are being advised to avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
