There is a warning that more North Yorkshire businesses will go bust if the Chancellor offers them no good news in his budget.

Jeremy Hunt has warned we will all have to pay a bit more tax. He is due to make his Autumn statement on Thursday (17th November).

David Simister is the Chief Executive of the Harrogate Chamber of Commerce and says any more tax rises could push more businesses over the edge: "You've got soaring fuels costs, you've got rising inflation, you've got interest rates going up, you've got pressure of wages and also the cost of raw materials, coupled with the fact that customers have less to spend. So it's very, very difficult trading times."

He's calling on Jeremy Hunt to announce an immediate review of business rates to help smaller businesses who he says are the backbone of the economy.
