A fundraiser's been started for workers at a North Yorkshire restaurant which was destroyed in a suspected arson attack.

It happened at the Star Inn at Harome on 24th November.

The owner of the pub - Andrew Pern - described the incident as 'devastating'.

The fundraiser's been set up Sandy Greetham from Harrogate.

She said: "I hope this crowd funding will help show the love and support that is out there, and help Andrew and his team through this terrible time just before Christmas, as they will be without income and many deposits will be need to be returned and loss of business for at least a year will sadly affect the lives of many families who work there.

"This small amount will hopefully give them some security for lack of wages to help them get through Christmas."
