North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue have shared details of two udderly bonkers call-outs yesterday (Thursday 28th October).

Crews were called out to a report of a cow stuck in a tree over a river in the Leyburn area at 12.11pm.

An officer established that fire crews would be able to help re-moo-ve the animal, so crews were sent to the scene.

They were turned around en route, however, after the farmer managed to rescue the cow using farm machinery (we're assuming it wasn't a _bull-_dozer).

Turning _baaaaaa-_ck the clock by four hours, and fire crews in Ripon were helping approximately 12 sheep, stranded on an island in the river!

They were successfully returned to dry land, so all's wool that ends wool!

(We're #SorryNotSorry for really milking it with the puns!)
