Families urged to take part in Ripon Easter egg scramble
A secret message has been hidden across the city centre
Families in Ripon can take part in an Easter egg scramble for the next seven days.
Organised by the Ripon and Nidderdale Mumbler group, it's to encourage families to get outdoors over the Easter break and into the city centre.
It's hoped it will encourage families to also shop local and support the city's economy as we come out of lockdown.
Niki Alderson is from Ripon and Nidderdale Mumbler, she said: "The idea of it is to encourage families to safely use the shops and cafes we have. Unfortunately a lot can't open still but hopefully it'll be a reminder for families that they are there and to get people out and about in Ripon because it's a lovely place.
"We just wanted to offer some entertainment over the Easter holidays and support businesses as they prepare to reopen.
"The sheet is there to download online for as many times as they like. You can break it up and do a different shop every day of the break, you could do half one day and then half another. There's no rules, just have fun.
"It's been a tough few months so I hope it'll put a smile on people's faces.
A secret message has been hidden around the centre for families to unscramble. Once completed, families will get a special prize.
Families can download the worksheet from the Mumbler website.
