Warning of heavy rain and possible flooding for parts of Dales

The Met Office says there could be disruption in the next two days

There's a warning that there could be disruption to parts of the Yorkshire Dales in the next two days (28th and 29th October), thanks to rain.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning covering part of the area.

Forecasters from the Met Office says throughout Thursday and Friday, parts of the Dales could be subject to:

  • There is a small chance that some communities will become cut off by flooded roads
  • Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
  • Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services
  • There is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life
  • There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
  • There is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses
