Coronavirus: First death at Harrogate Hospital in 3 weeks
NHS figures reveal there's been another death at the site
A coronavirus patient has died in Harrogate for the first time in more than three weeks.
NHS England figures show a patient died at Harrogate District Hospital on Wednesday (21 October) when 11 people were receiving emergency treatment for the disease.
The death brings the hospital’s total to 84.
The last time a death was recorded at the hospital was on 29th September.
It comes as Harrogate has the third highest weekly infection rate in North Yorkshire with 166 cases per 100,000 people.
That is below the average rate for England of 177.
The death reported today was one of 27 across Yorkshire.
The total number of coronavirus deaths in English hospitals now stands at 31,427.
