A six year-old boy is in hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving two cars near Knaresborough.
It happened on the A59 near Hopperton shortly before 8pm on Saturday - five other people were also injured.
The stretch of road was closed for around six hours while emergency services attended.
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage to contact them.
