Freezing temperatures forecast amid warnings for East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire
The Met Office says icy patches are expected to form overnight
The Met Office is warning East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire could see freezing temperatures tonight, with yellow weather warnings in place for the next 24 hours.
Icy patches are expected to start forming and we could even see some heavy snow before the weekend.
Forecasters are warning that could lead to injuries, and are urging drivers to take care on the road.
Met office spokesman Oli Claydon said yellow warnings for snow and ice were in place for much of the UK over the next two days and police forces and councils had issued calls to motorists to be careful on icy roads.
He said: "The wintry theme continues, certainly for the next couple of days, but we're then looking at a warming trend with slightly less cold air moving in over the weekend.''
But the Met Office said the weekend would bring a "slight warming'', reducing the chances of snow and frost.
