Two teenagers arrested on suspicion of arson in Grimsby

A 15 year old and a 13 year old have been arrested on suspicion of arson after a fire in Grimsby.

Emergency services were called out to derelict buildings which were a former school on Eleanor Street last night (June 19th) around 5.30pm

Fire crews are expected to continue to monitor the building throughout the rest of this evening.

No one's believed to have been injured in the incident.

the two teenagers have been released under investigation.

Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said:

"The fire was contained inside the main part of the building. In the interest of firefighter safety we tackled the fire externally and used our drone to investigate after dampening down."

Humberside Police have said:

"Anyone with information that may assist with our investigations can contact us on our non-emergency number 101, quoting log 435 of 19 June."
