Local presenter Tim Jibson dies suddenly

He had presented radio in the area for 40 years

Tim Jibson, a legend of radio around Hull, East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire, has died aged 76.

He was a regular name on the radio since 1972 presenting on Viking FM, BBC Radio Humberside, KCFM & Beverley FM.

An obituary said Jibson "Passed away suddenly but peacefully on Sunday 9th February 2025, aged 76 years, surrounded by his loving family, after the most wonderful day on holiday"

He is survived by his wife Ann Marie, his three children and three grandchildren.

As well his shows on Viking FM (now Hits Radio), he was well known for presenting the Paull Hunsley Electric Wireless Show on Radio Humberside, which ran from 1978 to 1984.
