The leader of North East Lincolnshire council says he remains confident the region can secure a devolution deal despite the Government choosing not to progress the proposals at the moment.
The scheme would have seen greater powers and more funding granted to the whole Lincolnshire region including the Grimsby area.
But ministers don't want to proceed with the plans at this stage.
Council leader Phillip Jackson says he welcomes an invitation to continue discussions and is hopeful progress can be made fairly soon.
