A man's suffered serious facial injuries after an unknown substance was reportedly thrown at him in Grimsby.
Police were sent to an address on Hainton Avenue following a call about a dispute around 9.30am.
The man was taken to hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
This is believed to be an isolated incident between individuals known to each other.
Officers remain in the area conducting lines of enquiry to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
