Man arrested over reports of roof tiles being thrown in Grimsby

A man's been arrested following reports of a disturbance in Grimsby.

Police were called to reports of someone throwing tiles from a roof in Hainton Avenue this morning.

At around 7.30am, officers were called to reports of a man on a roof, and during the incident, the man is believed to have thrown tiles from the roof.

Emergency services were deployed - and a cordon was put in place for the safety of the public. The man has since come down from the roof and has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and public nuisance.

There are no reports of injuries.

Humberside Police Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Peter Musgrave said:

“I appreciate the impact that an incident of this nature can have on the local community, and I would like to thank everyone in the area for their patience whilst the incident is being dealt with and brought to a safe conclusion.

“My local team will be carrying out patrols in the area, please do speak to them if you have any concerns.”
