A man's been arrested in connection with the death of a woman in Cleethorpes more than 40 years ago which was treated as murder.

Police have relaunched their investigation in the light of new information.

It was in June 1983 that police launched a murder investigation following the death of Olive Wilkinson at her family home on Montague Street.

She was found with fatal injuries.

Despite a number of appeals and extensive investigation the case has remained unsolved.

But last year a cold case review led to new information and now a 63 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

He remains in police custody.

Officers have revealed the man arrested is a new suspect to the investigation.

Scene guards are currently in place at a number of locations in Cleethorpes
