Businesses in North East Lincolnshire are being urged to make sure they're protected from cybercrime. During the pandemic there's been a 400% increase in fraud online.

The North East Business Resilience Centre's now offering free support and Humberside's Police and Crime Commissioner Keith Hunter is encouraging people to take it:

"Please access help and do what you can to protect yourself. Building your own resilience is a must for businesses now.

You cannot always rely on law enforcement being able to interject before these criminals come after you"

He continues " We have seen some significant rises and a good proportion of that has been the targeting of businesses not just individuals. And this is a key route through which criminals are attempting to obtain substantial sums of money now"
