A machete has been recovered from the East Marsh and a man arrested.
It happened in the early hours of yesterday morning after a Police patrol spotted a man believed to be wearing a balaclava.
Its reported a bag was thrown into a garden on Mansel Street after a short chase.
A machete was discovered inside.
An 18 year old has been arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
The man remains in custody while the Force continues it's investigation.
